Chris Tabbitt

After a warm-up in equities trading, a foray into international sports coverage and a year in Provence working at a Relais & Chateaux property, Chris joined Butterfield & Robinson, the world's premier active travel company.

In 2008, Chris decided to combine his knowledge with perfectly executed trips with the great golf courses of the world. He has since played 31 of the World’s Top 100.

Having travelled to more than 40 countries over the last 20 years, Chris’s preference is to be in Toronto with his wife and two children.

Alan Sovran

After spending the early part of his career working in radio and then environmental management, Alan finally landed where he belongs, in the travel industry, in 2017. Guiding cycling trips for Backroads, he worked from coast-to-coast in Canada, as well as in France, Germany and the Czech Republic.

He started golfing when he was ten as a casual activity with his Dad in Newmarket, Ontario, and has continued to play and follow the game since. If you’re looking for him when he’s not planning trips and on the course, we’d recommend starting your search at a concert venue, along the city’s bike lanes, or at an outdoor hockey rink.
